Love social networking? We do, too! Your galleries have some great built-in ways for you to tout your photos using some of the most popular services: Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, and tumblr.
How do I start?
When the Easy Sharing option in your Customize Gallery settings has been enabled, you can just click the Share button you see on your gallery pages and select "Be Social." You'll see a new area with 4 tabs, each with a different social network option.
Note: If you're the gallery owner and you don't want your visitors to have this option, just be sure to disable the Easy Sharing option in the Customize Gallery settings. Once you do that, the Share button will disappear.
Twitter
Facebook
First you'll need to sign in and authorize the connection. Enter your Facebook login details, then click Connect. Now you're ready to select which type of post to make.
You can choose to post an update containing a gallery link by choosing the Post to Facebook button. Enter your text and hit Update Facebook Stream, then watch your friends be blown away by the photos.
Or if you prefer, share the gallery with specific Facebook contacts by selecting Share with friends and clicking on the contacts you want. Type a short message if you wish, then go! The people you've chosen will receive your message privately.
Gotcha: At this time, Facebook Connect doesn't work through custom domains, so please view the gallery through the SmugMug nickname (http://yournickname.smugmug.com), instead. Sorry!
FriendFeed
Enter the text you want to appear on your update into the Title field. By default we'll fill in the gallery name. Then just type in your FriendFeed login information and click Post to FriendFeed. It's that simple!

tumblr
The photo you have selected will preview on the right. Type your text into the caption field along with your tumblr account login and then hit Post to tumblr. Easy as pie, and your friends will see a thumbnail of the image and a link to the gallery.
